Actually with some finesse a 255/75/17 will also fit which is a true 32in tire

If you have a Scangauge I believe you can correct for the larger sized tires. I know you could for the last car I owned

I upgraded the size of my tires to the 265/75 17 and left the spare stock. I had a tire go flat on me and had to use my spare. I had no problems with ATRAC or any other saftey device while driving. In fact I could barely notice much of a difference while driving. So from my experience this is not a problem.

Cool...good to know...thanks! BTW, are you sure that your tires are 265/75/17 and not 265/70/17??

This is true, but why would you be leaving your spare tire on the car for an extended period of time?

Yea, but that small of an upgrade doesn't really matter, especially with the sport with the XREAS suspension. I have a 2006 Sport with a 3/2 Cornfed Spacer lift and 33 inch mud grapplers and I don't really have any problem driving. As long as I don't try to swing a corner like I am in a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT-8 I am perfectly fine.

regarding tire size, if i go with a 1" taller tire/wheel combo, will that save me gas and lower the rpm's being that the tire is rotating less but covering more ground?
i have 16's now and upgrading to 17's soon.

Looking to upsize to 20" wheels

I am considering buying a set of 20" 'Take Offs' from a 2016 4Runner with 245/60/20 tires. The price is right, I just need to make sure they will fit without further modifications. I have a 2006 4Runner Sport V6 2 Wheel Drive. Any help is greatly appreciated.

What would you tell the owner to expect for handling changes between these two tires?
(old) P235/75R15 108T and (new) P225/75R15 102S (which is the stock size)

265/70/17 BFG KO2 fits under there, in case anybody stumbles onto this thread and wants to know.

Not a bad idea. It is a PIA, but could work.

Thanks.
Having had a couple flats in the last year, my experience is that both vehicles' stock-sized spare tires were running low on air anyways. So, it's just prudent, IMO, that our vehicles have a tire compressor on board. My plan is to run a rear tire carrier with larger tire, but on-board air is a necessity.
