anybody using CB Radios?

I was just wondering if anybody on here is using CB radios...and if so - what's a good brand/model?

I might be looking into this sooner than later as I the Runner may be in some unfamiliar territory over the summer.

Yep...CB's are still in use. Check out Quackshack Forums, you might find it of interest if you're looking for great info. Then, go to The Quackshacks Shop and purchase some equipment. I'm not affiliated with them in any way at all. But they are the best guys online to deal with for CB equipment. They will peak and tune, add extra channels, etc, and they do a SUPERB job.

I'm using a Galaxy 959 with added extra channels hi and lo and a Wilson 1000 magnet mount, and a Texas Star 500V amp.

Funny thing is, I still have not actually mounted my CB, it's sitting in the passenger seat. I'm trying to find a good place to mount it.

BTW, I'm a big Oscar Wilde fan. Have you read much of his stuff, or did you just like the quote?

That looks confusing.....but rediculously cool

Damn! My next question was where can I mount it without it interfering with the steering column or glovebox....and if anybody has pix.

I'm a novice Oscar Wilde fan...haven't read much of his work other than quotes that I've come across. This is one of my favorites...next to "We live in an age when unnecessary things are our only necessities."

Thanks for the info.
