my diff breather
thanks to all here who made this an easy mod!
I'm a little worried on 4 fronts with my install...
1-did I leave enough slack?
2-can I (if yes, did I) overtighten the union? I didn't leave many 'threads' exposed...
3-did I overtighten the hose to the union? looks like the hose is deforming a bit...will that still maintain a perfect seal&grip?
4-I did not use a clamp for the new breather - is this critical? if yes, how can I tighten it in the small confines of the fuel fill area? Next time I will attach it first, then secure the line. (I set the line, cut it to length, then tried to install the breather cap...)

looking at the break lines (??) I think I have enough slack. The axel won't need as much toward the center as it would on the outside edges - correct?

i have nothing (for now) holding the hose between that last zip tie shown here) and the actual fuel filler. I guess an extra ziptie around the fuel filler is a good plan. I also want to make sure there is enough gap to keep it from interefering with the fuel cap.

o no o no it's all messedup!!!!
jk lookin good! The slack should be as much as your axle droops so find out how much droop you will get and make sure you have enough slack for it. It looks good from the photo though but double check. Never hurts to have more

Not to worry. Everything looks good.
One question. Why put the breather through the rubber to the outside? Why not leave it up high and behind/inside so it's not exposed?

I installed mine with the rear axle at full droop, then added about 5" of slack so that when I lift in the near future I won't have to re-do it, and after the lift I'll still have some slack "just in case". Try jacking up the back end to see if you have enough slack in the tube.

I have no idea why I didn't do that. Probably because I wasn't thinking (in a rush) - and just trying to match what I'd seen here.
That might be a mod-mod.
