Kumho Road Venture MT 834 tires

Anyone have any experience with these? They look pretty nice for the price. They scored higher on tirerack.com reviews than the BFG mud terrains, and are $60 per tire cheaper (plus another $40 off right now if I buy 4), 5 pounds per tire lighter, but 0.3" in diameter smaller (comparing 265/75/16's). I'm a huge fan of Khumo tires for the street and road racing, but don't know anything about them off road.

Tire info.

Tire comparison.

I put a set of Maxxis Buckshot Mudders on my 94 Jeep Wrangler for $98 a tire and I am very impressed with them. Unbelievable in the mud. Good in the rain (really don't drive the jeep in the rain, on purpose). And the best part..............they barely howl on the highway......

Have them on a Tundra......

I purchased four of these for my son on his Tundra. He has had them on a couple of years. You get what you pay for. They seem to be durable, and he gets very even wear. The downside is that they are noisy and because of tread design has a great tendency to "ride the grooves" on the freeway. Also, the sidewalls are soft and consequently they do not corner well.

Hope this helps!

Very much, thanks. I'm sure there's a few more out there with these tires.

I got these for my Tundra a few years back because I switched wheels/tires for the summer. I used them in the winters and had no issues. Not sure about the treadlife as I sold the Tundra and bought the runner after a few years but I had no complaints about them.

Well, after long and hard consideration I decided to go with these tires. I had the center blocks siped on all 4 to improve wet/icy grip, as well as make it a little quieter. I was hoping to test them out this Sunday, but my wife informed me that she already had plans for to drive down to Anaheim, so looks like I'll just be cruisin' the 'stang instead. I test-fit one of these tires in the spare location after it in was mounted and it fit, just barely. So I'll be ordering a 5th one soon to complete the set. I have the tow package and the tow hitch is really close, but the tire fits. Anyways, here's some before and after picts.
