Nitto Terra Grappler P vs LT

Does anyone know if there is a difference in the construction of P vs LT Terra Grapplers? All the reviews here have been positive, but they seem to be for the P265/70/17. I have the standard 16" wheels and would have to go LT265/75/16.

LT has the thicker sidewall. I cant remember, but I think it's 8-ply compare to (P)6-ply. I t will have a more stiff feel than the P rated version. The thicker sidewall is better for off-road protection. LT rated tires are more for trucks/SUVs that are bigger, but you can put them on your runner. I plan to get the LT Grapplers on mine.

The LTs will be available in D load and higher and I have the D version which are a tad heavier but still handle hard cornering quite well.
Make sure the salesman sells you the D load range if you get them since the E version is the one that seems to come up on their computers first and that's the one thye'll quote you and it's almost $30 more a tire.
