anywho,
another question about the Nav, do you know if there is a DVD/CD changer for it? Maybe one small enough to fit in that glove box secret area?

I've seen the standard CD Cargo mounted changer, but I don't want to mount it in the back, and it looks too big to fit anywhere in that glove box area, or even under the seat??

Plus, a DVD changer sure would be nice, because I would like to get a rear entertainment system for mine someday.

Chris.

Yeap, I am in Seattle. The CD changer goes under the center armrest. It shoudl plug into the nav ssytem without a problem... but it might be difficult to find one for a resonable price.

I have one more Solara Nav unit in stock and it is priced at $1,550. Thanks."

Hope this clears some stuff up for someone. I'm not looking to purchase one for a few more months, so that one that's left (if it is really only 1, someone better pick it up!)
If anyone gets information on which LEDs are the exact match i would love to know. I am still running green because i ahve not been able to determine the exact color/ect. of orange/amber LEDs needed. thx.

I just installed this in my 04 Sienna with RSA (rear seat audio) and all the functions and controls work. I'd imagine the system is the same or similar to the 4Runner. However, this is also the same port for the XM Radio kit. Therefore, you can't use both that I'm aware of.

So SiennaSaurus what did you do to fix the voice issue on your vehicle or did you have to do anything?

Unfortunately, no. I'm stepping back to rethink the issue and see what other options I have before doing the external speaker like Pete did.

Actually.. I have no idea.. I don;t have those silly wireless headphones (and no kids.. so no need.) I figured the NAV unit woule not have the correct outputs for the additional speaker channels. I do want to clairify.. the rear remote and the display work great... I am just guessing no sound would actually be sent to the RF transmitter.

I work up in Seattle (live out in Graham), maybe I'll see you driving around up there one day.

ugh, so if you get the changer, it would pretty much take up all your storage space in that console wouldn't it? Anyone have a picture of what it looks like installed?

I wish there were some aftermarket ones that would work with the nav, and I don't mean one of those RF type changers. Then maybe a smaller unit could maybe be used and could fit somewhere else.

Like how Honda decks work with Alpine M-Bus changers.

SiennaSaurus,

Greg said he tried to tap the wires into the left speaker and recieved distortion. I sent him this

http://www.hut.fi/Misc/Electronics/c...linemixer.html

I would try it but my NAV is not here yet. The only problem I see is that it would lower the volume on the left channel audio. So now I'm thinking perhaps just installing the circuit to the line out from the voice then tapping it into the left speaker output to the amp. or installing the resistors on both left and right outputs to equal the output and adjust with the fader.

Willing to give it a try?

OR....

what if you split the voice signal to both the left front and the left rear to reduce impedance and distortion? I wish I had the unit so I could hook a meter to it.

j0mama, I am just about to buy the Solara Nav system from OEMValue for my 2003 Limited with 10 speaker JBL stereo. I think my truck is the same as yours. Did you ever get the bezel to fill the gap between the nav system and the center console trim or did you have to buy a complete trim piece for the center console for an SR5. I have not approached my parts man yet on this and maybe you can suggest a better route to follow since I suspect the trim full trim piece is quite expensive.

Tks in advance.
