II have v8 4wd sport edition.

Got 6112/5160 combo.
Just added 700# 3” ID 14” eibach springs to replace the stock bilstein 6112 (also made by eibach) 600# spring. I was not satisfied with the amount of lift so I skipped 650# and went straight to 700# considering I have a v8 4wd for the extra weight. I’ll admit ride is stiff but I’ve only had it on a day and also need to redo the alignment. Did I screw up with the 700# springs? I was afraid to get the 650# and not be satisfied by the amount of lift achieved as was with the 600# the 6112 came with. I guess if I did choose to get a winch it armor bumper I’d definately be ready, but no plans for that as of yet.

Update:

Just a couple days after installation the suspension has softened a bit (or I just got used to it?) very little body lean and even further reduced nose dive. I don’t regret putting the 700# springs in at all I’m happy and I believe my lift achieved is about 3.5-3.75” and I have .75 inch spacers driver side and .25 passenger side. With the stock bilstein 600# spring my lift even with spacers mentioned above was about 3” inches exactly.

Not sure if my lift measurements are exactly accurate anybody have a method to measure as accurately as possible?

Here’s a photo of a little bit of wheel well flex showing the silver 700” eibach springs on the 6112. Moral of the story? If you have a v8 4runner and you want more lift with the 6112 get a heavier spring.

Can you post a pic of the whole vehicle?

Maybe adding a 650# or 700# option would also be good for overlanders with more equipment and V8 4wd like myself. However I believe most will be sufficient with the 650#

Bilstein 6112 Snap ring/Circlip part number

Hey guys, just dropping the part number for the snap ring/circlip for the 4runner 6112 shocks in case anyone needs it. I couldn't find it anywhere and had to email Bilstein for it so I am just trying to spread the info for others who are looking for it. Thanks.

edit: it would help if I actually dropped the part number :P

Bilstein 6112 snap ring: E4-SP1-Z027A01 purchasable from Summit Racing according to Bilstein.
