Hello, i'm currently trying to disable my DRL's on my 2003 toyota 4runner limited. I took apart everything the instructions told me too. I located the black flasher and I have the beige flasher ready to put in. The only problem is that the plugs are completely different. Is there an adapter I'm missing or am I doing something wrong?

Read the instructions again and you will see that there is a small adapter cable to use the non-DRL flasher, or you can remove or cut 1 wire and use the black flasher, you can also add a switch in-line on the wire that needs to be disconnected to turn off or on the DRL, you can also go to a dealer and they can disable the DRL via the onboard computer via their scan tool, but you will have to scan or read this entire topic (I did just to answer your question) to find out which wire needs your attention and or the other options you have to disable the DRL!!

Just run it by a dealer and ask them to turn the DRL's off. Takes about 3 minutes.

Is there anyway you can link me to the harness connector I need? I can't find anywhere what it is.

No I can't, I don't know the part number because it hasn't been posted in this topic, I only read this topic because #1 I like to know how to do anything on my 4 Runner even though I don't need to do this mod, I first started reading the topic to see if there was a answer your question, which there was, thus my reply to your first question.

It doesn't seem apparent to me that you have read the entire topic to find your own answers, so I don't know if I should do the work/research for you, but I will say that if you look at post #130 (not that it will help you find the harness connector) it shows the harness connector in question that you need, also if you look at post #88 Rando explains how you can disable the DRL without the harness or gray flasher, or as I mentioned in my earlier reply just go to a dealer and have them disable the DRL using the Scan Tool.

That all being said this topic was about enabling DRL and not disabling them and therefore no need for anyone to post a link or part number to get the harness connector, so you will have to do further research on your own to try and find the harness connector you need, I would suggest going to a dealer and they if knowledgeable as they should be should be able to help you.

But if I was in your shoes I would elect to go to a dealer to disable the DRL or go the simpler route and at the very least snip one little wire and tape it off.....DONE no more DRL.... but I would go the next step further and install an inline switch on that wire to either disable or enable the DRL at will, much simpler than trying to find the narness connector IMHO and you have the best of both worlds!
