Sirius ID

I hope I can ask this right, lol
Is the Sirius ID within the sirius tuner or the radio head unit?

I got my old head unit (kenwood) and sirius tuner out of my totaled corolla, and was hoping I could add the tuner to the radio (advent) in the 4runner, so it would be a plug and play lol. Since I do have a lifetime subscription.

Thanks in advance

ok yes, the sirius ID is in the Tuner module, so getting a new head unit and swapping your sirius tuner is all you have to do to keep sirius.

I have the oem radio in my 2012 4Runner. I presume it has a separate Sirius/XM tuner behind it that I can retain and plug into a new head unit?

Thanks,

Kos

I cant speak on the 2012 but every radio Ive seen as the sirius tunner that can be moved to another head unit.
