03 Retrofit HID Install and Black Housing

first off this is my first posting, im new to the 4 runner family and loving my 03 suv. i bought it used for about 14500 around thanksgiving 06. i just got out of the s14 scene (nissan 240) and was on the zilvia forum, had a blast but tired of driving a fixed up ride

Figured that i would get this and be happy with stock, until i found this forum and saw all the fun stuff i can do to the rig. When u think u got out of the game, it pulls you right back in. this is the second thing i did to the rig after the yakima snowrack....

thanks to info on this forum expecially trancekrays thread, i was able to retro fit my hid and black house....details will not be provided since there is past postings of similar actions w/ more details, just use the search button. the work was done by a friend of mine, hes pretty much my mechanic

total spending was about 400 bucks...

2 inch flange and doggie bowl. these are different from trancekrays, i couldnt find the exact parts, but i the results came out nicely and i really like how the flange wrapped around the projectors

acura tsx projectors, oem ballist, 4300k bulbs

painted dark grey, i know its a kinda of stepping away from the jdm black, but it was felt that this color matched the rig more

rear shot of projectors, the cutout that was made to fit the projectors

front shot of projector

test fitting

complete

sweet lighting system, and nice cutoff's. Did you have to bake the lenses back on?

I went a cheaper route with a rebased d2r kit. The results aren't as great as yours, but I'm really pleased.
