IPC-106 modification
It has been a while since my last post, but thought it was an opportune time to come back.
I've had my AVN5435 and ipod adapter for some time now and while it works ok and sounds great, I was curious if anybody has tried to modify this adapter. What I'd want to do is to retain the power and the line out of the adapter, but let the ipod have full control still. I just cannot stand the goofy interface to the ipod over the AVN5435.
Searching online it looks like pins 11, 12, & 13 (Serial GND, Tx, Rx) can not be connected and I should be able to retain control on my ipod. I was thinking I could use some isopods of some sort. Has anybody tried to do this?
Does anybody share the same frustration as me when it comes to the IPC-106?
