Diode Dynamics is excited to introduce our newest product line: Stage Series Light Bars! Inspired by the needs of a professional rally driver, these light bars use custom-engineered, Patent Pending TIR (total internal reflection) optics for maximum functionality and optimal beam pattern, all in one highly durable, yet compact package!

This TIR optic, coupled with powerful 6000K Lumileds LED chips, produces MUCH higher intensity than a standard, generic light bar using basic optics or reflectors. While standard optics lose light internally and spread light in all directions, the TIR optic in the Stage Series collects all of the light from the LED and effectively focuses the output, drastically reducing glare and improving total efficiency.

Designed using optical simulation software, these light bars create a highly-functional beam pattern to direct light where you want it! The Driving pattern creates a high-intensity rectangle that’s perfect for directing light downrange at high speeds. And instead of a standard “flood,” the Wide option provides an extremely wide field of view, without wasting any light in the sky above, or directly down to the ground. In 6-inch size, the Driving pattern is DOT/SAE compliant as a J581 Driving/Auxiliary High, and the Wide pattern is a J583 Front Fog Lamp. (Check state and local laws for applicability.)

The slim design allows for fitment in tight areas. At less than 42mm tall, they’ll fit in many places a traditional dual-row light bar won’t, while drastically cutting the total weight. But don’t let their compact size fool you! These have been extensively torture-tested to SAE standards to ensure maximum reliability.

These are currently available in 6, 12, 18, 30, 42, and 50 inch options in a white or amber lens, with more sizes to come! All Stage Series LED lighting uses a standard Deutsch DT style connector. Orders include a 1-foot pigtail with bare leads and an optional wire harness.

I understood TIR lights to project a smaller light than the source, like a skinny spot light or super parabolic lens. Probably useful on a light house or rescue helicopter or ship. Very interesting reading.
