Yokohama Geolandar G015 Poor Tread Life!

Hello all, I got a set of the Yokohama Geolandar G015 (replacement for the at/s) back in September. I’ve only out 8000 miles on them, but they’re down to 7/32! New is 13/32. Somehow I’ve used half the tread of a 60,000 mile tire in 8000 miles? Anybody have experience with Yokohama warranty honoring or their customer service? Do I really have to wait until they reach 2/32 before the manufacturer will do anything? Seems like these are very obviously faulty tires. Funny thing is, all 5 of them are wearing at the exact, accelerated rate, and I got the spare from a completely different vendor. So it seems like a production problem, one that Yokohama should be aware of...

They were down to 6/32" after 35,000 miles, sold them on my old wheels. Wasn't super impressed. I went to AT3 4S and I'm super happy.

13/32 new, 7/32 at 8000 and 6/32 at 35000 miles?

A) something doesn't add up, and/or
B) you were on target for more than 60k, and/or
C) (theorizing) tire wear rates change over time.

But...glad you're happy with the Coopers, that's my next set of tires also.

Why don't you try Nitto Ridge Grappler? I've been using these tires for years now and it never fails to meet and exceed my expectations. It is perfect when you are traveling on rough terrains.

So you had the P-rated version.

On my LT-rated version, they started at 18/32, and with about 1500 miles I can still see the little rubber nubs from the mold. No measurable loss in tread depth.

Great in rain, snow, dry, smooth, quiet, no vibration. Pretty pleased so far.

@02SE - I just picked up the same set of Yokos in the same stock size. Decided to go with them based on your recommendation. Like em so far. What air pressure are you running during normal on road pavement driving? I do mostly highway commuting as my daily driving. I currently have mine set at 35psi b/c that is what the discount tire rep recommended, but seems a little low for an LT rated tire. TIA!
