All of the magnaflow tips are here.
I really want to add a catback, but fishwife would probably divorce me if I do a loud exhaust on this truck. She hated riding in my V8 Jeep with a Borla catback. A little bling never hurt anybody tho.
Does anybody have any sound files of various exhaust systems on V8 4runners? I'd love to hear the Borla, TRD, and Magnaflow systems.

Thanks. I would like to have a little more growl to it, but since I use it for work driving people around, I didn't want it any louder. I just wanted to do away with the shotgun barrel look or it sticking out the back.
ssmumich00, yeah, I had seen that pick a while back. I think you took that one right before a rain storm or something. I am still thinking about a brush guard, btu can't decide. I would love to see one in person.

It is hard to tell if the Magnaflow exhaust cat back will fit. i am not sure exactly where is comes out. If you take it to an exhaust place and have it customized, they could definately make it work.
The brush guard looks really good. i still can't decide.

I finally made the brackets to hold the lights on there, but I don't have them on right now. I think I am going to have them wired up, so that when we are taking it out of town, I can put the lights on it. Right now I can put the brackets and lights on in about 5 minutes.

Thanks. It is strange, sometimes I look at the pics and think I like it and sometimes I dont. I would like to make new brackets that would dip down a little, so the lights would be centered in that lower grill section, but I have been slammed with work. Here is a link with some larger photos.

I've got PIAA 540 city driving lights, logic being I figured the fog lights that are stock work well enough. . .I like them a lot, it' s night and day difference when driving with them, however, it does tend to PISS people off. . .I have them centered so that the cut off line is at the top of most car trunks, so it doesn't glare into their cars. . .
If I did it ALL OVER again, I would've put on PIAA HID's, they sell legal ones now, and are rated at 4300k (the lamp burn temp), which is perfect. . .I like the 600 or 610 HID HID!
The 540's are about 5.2 inches wide, I like the 550's (about 8in wide, and have a low (fog) and high beam (dirving) setting). . .by far the pimpest would be the 525's, they have an LED glow to them when shut off, like what the M5's look like from what I've heard. . . .

ive got the 520's and when i was researching to buy some lights the only one i found that had the led ring was the hellas, but i could be wrong and maybe i was just looking in the wrong place. i decided to go with the city driving also. the light they put out is excellent - its a bright yellow and purple light. they even work well in the daylight

What is the point of the resonator? I'd like to have my exhaust run out the side too. I hate riding with the back window down because I think exhaust is getting in the 4runner.

Not to be too specific, but it is a hollow chamber whose dimensions allow the resonant oscillation of electromagnetic or acoustic waves....
When I had it cut off and turned out, I could tell a slight difference in the sound, but it is so slight it is hardly worth noting, but that must be the reason.

I have a question about the resonator... Are there any chrome ones out there? I don't mind the way it looks now, if I could just get a chrome one.
