No! You come down here to Orlando with a big smoked Turkey and few pounds of live crawfish on Nov/24. I'll be more than happy to fix it.

Oh no..........i don't deliver live crawfish......I cook'em.....lol. I don't know the first thing about welding and could only go as far as to pay the guy to do it. The welds might not be perfect, but it looks 200 times better than a bolt on tip.

thanks momo...I am quite pleased...I also dig the additional grrr comin out the pipe now...as minimal as it may be...I decided not to have the tip welded on...I may have that done eventually...at this point I may try to adjust the clamp so the long bolt is not so visible from the back..but all in all, I am very glad I had this mod done!

Magnaflow vs Flowmaster vs Borla
I had flowmaster exhaust systems on two of my previous trucks ('79 Bronco & '90 Nissan hardbody) I liked everything about it. The sound, the hp, the gas, even the price was decent.
I haven't been around too many magnaflow or borlas. What is everyones input between the three exhaust makers? Is there another brand worth checking out as well?

Momo
Is that a tacoma skid I saw in one of your old pics?
Also, I have a 14" Magnaflow, bout to cut the resonator, turn it and add a tip.
But, I'm not a welder.... So, do I need to hang something to hold the new tip (does it wobble without the connection where the resonator used to be?)
And without welding, would bolting on a new tip look cheap?

Yep, that is a Tacoma skid plate, but i know there were selling those with brackets for the 4Runner. They pop up from time to time on ebay.
I think the stock hanger is all that is holding my exhaust pipe, but i am not sure. I personally don't like bolt on tips, but they don't look bad. I would just check with an exhaust shop on how much it would cost for them to do it for you, including a tip. It really doesn't cost that much.

Thread successfully resurrected from 2006 ?
What the heck!
As I understand it, on a 3rd Gen you want to have a resonator (TRD, or Tundra part) because it cancels out the drone but allows high airflow.
My exhaust: Flowmaster + Tundra resonator.

I am not sure about the V6, but i know on my V8, there is no drone without the resonator.
