Question PA11-toy vs PAC iPAC

Today my Scion T1807 HU arrived in the mail. I now have a Aux cable to buy, but can't decide between the PA11-Toy or the PAC IPAC to connect Ipod. I have searched but not read much about the PAC IPAC.

I want atleast some Ipod control from the T1807. Has anyone seen both used before ?

I'm contacting GROMAUDIO.COM from discussion in newer scion thread. This looks possibly like a better value.

Thumbs up

Completed the Scion 1807 HU with the Grom Ipod interface upgrade.

Nice sound and works well with the Grom interface. The upgrade is definitely worth considering. Cost me about $150 to upgrade but the sound is much better.

Thanks to this forum only took 2 hrs to install !

That is good news to me. I am thinking about upgrading to the scion, but been hesitant because of the ipod problem. Cost of course is a factor, but this sounds great. Thanks for the info! Does it show song info on the scion display?

My setup shows "No Title" from the HU when the text button is pushed. For what I'm using this setup for it's not a problem for me but could see how it might be for others. I have been listening to IE talk radio recorded to the ipod. There might be a different cable connection to the scion hu that does more for you with text. Here's the link describing the grom option....
