Falken Wildpeak AT3s...

Just wanted to provide my feedback after recently switching to these tires.

They are all around fantastic for an AT tire. They drive like a passenger tire with low noise, excellent grip, no decrease in fuel economy or performance. All around I'm so glad I went with these.

And I had them in the desert today and they performed very well in the soft dunes.

265/65 - stock size. Went that way to keep the weight down.

Had them on a DC 01 Tacoma and loved them. I had 265/75r16

Great tire at a good price.

I want to try LT255/80R17 but I have really hard time to find any available. I can get P285/70R17 no problem though.

I'll check in from the snowy midwest and say that these tires have impressed me so far as well- in terms of both traction and durability. I have 6k on mine and they still look and function like new. 265/75/16 SL sizing.

Finally, after two months or more of waiting and searching 255/80R17 showed up yesterday on Tire buyer site. Ordered 5 today. I should be getting them Tuesday.

I'll take that. Currently have this size in coopers and they are a little shorter than I'd like

I have been a fan of the Wildpeaks since then first came out in 2011. I do not see myself going with any other tire unless I run a size its not availible.

I recently picked up a set for my 3rd gen also a set for my cherokee I am fixing up.

Falken lists LT255/80R17 being 33.1" on their website.
I compared mounted and unloaded side by side with stock:
Height:
• Bridgestone Dueler H/T 684II P265/70R17 - 31-5/8"
• Falken Wildpeaks LT255/80R17 AT3W - 33-1/4", 1-5/8" taller than stock.
However, they are 32-1/8" tall (mounted on vehicle @ 42PSI).
Thread width:
Stock: 7-1/2"
Falken: 7_3/4"
Spare fitment:
There is not a lot room left. Honestly, I don't think you can fit anything else bigger than this. At least with KDSS. There is 1/8" at the back (hitch and rear bumper) and about 5/8" gap at the front (stabi bar and kdss piston).

Those tires look great. I’m currently running the wildpeaks In stock tire size but want to switch the the 255’s. Is there any need to regear with this size? Does this size throw off the odometer calculations?
