i have a 3RD gen and im looking to do the same..
A very easy way to do it, would be to cut one of the switched ACC wires, and replace it with a CONSTANT wire (from the radio, or the ignition harness)
If you take the wire from the radio, you cant put any high-amperage uses to it (power inverters and such), but cell phones, radar detectors, etc are fine
