They like Crower, but we couldn't get the time of day from them on UZ cams.
I just did a 30-mile freeway run to reset the code logs for smog. It's definitely rough with the stock ecu when it's not running wide open. But no CEL codes. Checked all the fluids and everything looked great.

Glad your not having DTCs so far. You'll probably have to fight those after the headers and exhaust. Hope the tune goes trouble free as well! Thanks for documenting this build!
We need more of this type of attention on the 2UZ. I hope Steel City Racing has a good showing at KOH next year.

Tired of hearing about LS swaps. I know those engines are the "go to" for performance = bang for your buck. But, there is a crap load of 4.7 cores out there waiting to be built. We just need more aftermarket companies looking into viable, budget friendly rebuild and Tuning options, without FI. But there just isn't enough interest to warrant the R&D money for those companies. I don't think we would even have headers if it weren't for Ivan Stewart and the Tundra guys building Desert trucks and Toyota racing entering Nascar.
Also really curious about the whole Japan vs US 4.7 debate. I would love to tear down a Tundra or Sequoia engine next to a 4Runner or Lexus for comparison.
As far as XAT, they kinda think outside of the box, recently doing a 2JZ swap into a 71 El Camino lol. They have my interest for sure. Now all I need is 1 mmiiilllliiion dollars to build out all my dream trucks.
