BF Goodrich All terrains

Fellow TR4 members:

I have a 2005 Sport and I want to purchase BF G's all terrain tires but the only size they have for my 17" wheels is 265 / 70 /R17
Factory are 265 / 65 / R17

Does any sport owner have this size 265 / 70 / R17 all terrains and do they rub at all?

Thanks in advance.

Good choice of tire and 265/70/17 will fit no problem.

I have been running that size for a year now. I only get them to touch slightly when the suspension is compressed and I have the steering cranked hard. 99.9% of the time, they never touch. I like em.

I got em...I love em! Like Tucson said, only on full crank you might get a minor rub...check it

How do they really do as far as comfort and ride? I wanted them cause they look sweet, but my roomate has them on his explorer and they are horrible. VERY loud on the highway, and the ride is bad too. Harsh ride, you feel every bump, and the car vibrates when you get up to speed. I would assume that this may not be the case with the 4Runner if everyone is putting them on. I would never put them on if they perform like that, but then again my roomate is getting a trd FJ in a month or so, and it comes with those tires, and he is happy about it.

I'm very happy with them...yes, they are noisier than the Dunlops, but no vibrations...maybe your roommate needs them re-balanced. I'm very pleased with the BFG's.
