I’m finding myself in need of a more aggressive tire for the off-roading I do. This IS NOT a for-sale post.
My KO2s are 285/70 C-Load take-offs from a Rubicon with 5,000 miles on them. Unlike others, my set has been GREAT with no balancing issues and no complaints at all, other than I’m finding I need an MT or hybrid. I want to see if I can get a reasonable amount for them or if I should should stick them out.
Thanks for your input!!!

I generally buy tires new but have bought used tires. IIRC it back in 07 or 08 during the recession when I needed tires after being furloughed. IIRC a buddy picked up a set for me from a junk yard on GM rims for $100 I had them remounted for another $50. Ran them for 75-80k miles with a plug in one that I had to keep an eye on.
That said KO2's usually go for ~$700 for a set of 4 on rims on Craigslist here in Co. More if the rims are nice aftermarket or SE OEM (think TRD Pro SEMA). Unmounted drops to ~$300-500 for a set of 4 depending on tread. Here is a couple of current, typical, Jeep examples similar to what you mention:
Goodrich AT T/A KO2,s 30X9.50 15 LT on Wheels - auto parts - by owner - vehicle automotive sale
31x10.5xr15 BFG KO2 tires on alloy wheels - auto parts - by owner - vehicle automotive sale
Not sure about the Chi town market, there is a bit of a premium (usually 10-20%) for good 4x4 stuff here in the mountains.
