While looking under the hood on my '19 noticed some interesting things on the fuel system that are unique/different than other engines I have worked on.
Fuel pressure regulator vacuum sensing line is routed to one of the smaller resonance chambers on the intake tube
PRE!!!??? Throttle body.
So the FPR will only see ambient or near ambient pressures....
This is different than other fuel injected cars I have modded where the FPR sensing line is plumbed post TB.....
Also the fuel cross over hose between the fuel rails does not have any sort of clamps where it interfaces with the F.Rails to ensure no leaking/ positive retention....
Does the 5th gen motor run a lower fuel pressure then other engines?....
Anyone care to explain why the FPR is plumbed pre TB?....
Example the S2000 (AP1/AP2V1) are 47-54psi(gauge) static OEM (with sensing line going to intake plenum) and up to 80psi(gauge) with adjustable FPR under boost on after market injectors if forced inducted.
