Another tire thread, opinions of Mickey Thompson tires
Well, I originally planned on getting Nitto Terra Grapplers, but can't find them in my area. (St. Louis, MO) According to my tire dealer, we are a Toyo town, and since Toyo owns Nitto, they don't allow both brands to be sold in the same region. He only sells the Toyos, but would love to offer the Nittos.
As a result, he is pushing the Mickey Thompson tires, which I understand are made by Cooper. I had never looked at them before, but they look pretty good, and the price is reasonable. I'm looking at the Baja Radial MTX in 265-70-17, as it seems like a good parallel to the Terra Grappler, and it's not a load range E tire like their ATZ. Actually they are a little taller, as they claim to measure out to a true 32".
So far I've only read good reviews, and the tire dealer runs them on his Ford F250, and said he's gotten over 50,000 miles from a set.
