Maybe they seem to resemble the AT3, but we are talking about one tire in three different guises:

Falken WIldpeak AT3W
Falken Rubitrek
Sumitomo Encounter AT

Same company, same factory, practically identical tire dimensions and weights, probably same everything other than tread appearance.

Note that DT only carries the AT3W, TireRack only carries the Encounter, and so on. Not sure what the deal there is.

That said, I got one Wildpeak made in USA with the others being made in Thailand, as expected. So they seem to have expanded production.

I'm bringing this back from the dead to see if anyone else has any feedback on these tires?

I'm looking at getting a set for my GX 460 when it comes in.

I ended up getting the Wildpeak AT3W from 4wheelonline because of the discount, though I'm still curious about the Rubitreks since their tread pattern looks aggressive also.
