So I hear this creaking sound on accel from a stop and braking right before I stop. I can recreate the sound also by standing on the sliders and rocking the truck back and forth. I don't hear it while driving, and going up some rocky dry riverbeds yesterday at maybe 3 MPH,I didn't hear any noises.
Checked to see if the sway bar spacers were installed, they were.
Everything is greased that should be greased on all the new parts.
Sprayed lithium grease everywhere that I could see was moving,UCA,LCA etc.
I loosened the UCA bolt, checked for creaking, still happens and tightened back up
Can the sound be coming from the actual springs ? It's really hard to isolate.
Does anybody have any idea what else I can check ? This little creaking sound is driving me nuts..There aren't any aftermarket suspension specialists in New England that I can find. EVERY SHOP can install suspension, but not every shop can do it right. My friend suggested this shop for my install, but I brought it back there and they say they don't hear any noises. Didn't want to argue and just figured I will do it myself.
I work on and know motorcycles,so anything other than brakes, oil, exhaust, plugs, hubs etc on a car I am learning,so car suspension is like rocket science to me right now.
Thinking maybe the LCA ? I took this pic and is there supposed to be that much of a gap ? White stuff is lithium grease I just sprayed.
