NEW TIRE: Continental TerrainContact H/T

New tire introduced last month: TerrainContact H/T - 225/60 R 17 99H Tire | Continental

It looks like this is Continental's answer to Michelin Defender LTX. Tread is very similar...and seemingly tough too (per Continental):

"A strong, durable, and quiet tire, the TerrainContact H/T features Continental Tire’s patented TractionPlus Technology with a focus on exceptional tread life and robust durability while providing best-in-class wet braking.*"

Apparently, it outperforms Defender LTX in wet braking.

I asked Continental how different is this tire from their A/T.

Response from Continental:

If you are planning on occasional off-road usage, we would recommend using the TerrainContact A/T. Our TerrainContact H/T was designed as an All Season Highway tire. The construction is similar, however they have different tread compounds (for the obvious different applications). If you used the HT for off-road, you will end up with chipping and chunking of the tread.
