Pioneer AVH-P300BT, sound problem

So I installed this pioneer HU. The install went smooth. But now I am facing this weird problem-the sound seems to travel randomly to any speaker, gets low, then back to normal, goes to back speaker, front, side speakers.
I have double checked the wires and nothing seems to be loose. I don't know what to check now.

Any Ideas?

Thanks in advance

I had that happen to my 2004 with JBL system. After installing Pioneer head unit I had same symptoms plus I lost the Sub. I did not want to rewire anything assuming all had something to do with JBL-Pioneer compatibility so I adjusted fader to the front at about 80% and played with gain, noise reduction and polarity to get acceptable sound with minimal noise and volume modulations but it is far from perfect sound you'd expect from premium Pioneer unit. The addition of USB drive, DVD and MP3 futures over 2004 stock CD, Tape and Aux only outweighed sound imperfection at that time.

I had this exact issue with this head unit. Bought from Best Buy but installed by a local audio shop. Was told that the unit was bad and replaced with a Sony. Works fine now.

Seemed weird that a unit would be bad from the factory--and maybe the local guy just wanted to sell me one of his--but the Sony works and the Pioneer didn't.

Returned the Pioneer to Best Buy without issue.
