What parts do I need to assemble front shocks and lift springs before install?

I'm going to install lift springs and new shocks on my 2019 OR and want to assemble everything before I do the install.

What parts would I need to buy to allow me to assemble the fronts completely so I can just drop the stock set out and put the new set in?

Some people use the home spring compressors but I just take it somewhere to get put on.

https://www.amazon.com/OrionMotorTec...xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==

I'd rather not have the spring flying at me.

rent compressors

My local O'Reilly's auto parts rented the spring compressors to me for free. I paid $50 to get them and if you return within 48 hrs, they give you 100% money back. I put some spacers on my front end this past week, works great.

Thanks you guys, at first I was going to hire a shop but I think I can get it done myself. I am definitely going to rent a spring compressor to assemble the fronts but I should have been more specific.

I wanted to know about the parts like top hats, washers, nuts, bushings etc. that are usually removed from the stock setup. I want to build the shock/spring setup before I remove the original setup from the truck so I can easily swap them in. My 4R is a lease so I wanted to be able to easily swap it back to stock if I don't wind up buying it at the end of the term and then sell the lift fully assembled.

I was hoping someone who has completed the installation could let me know exactly what parts are moved over from the stock setup so I can price out the parts to see if it is worth it.

I think your stuff should come with new parts if stock couldn't be reused.

Unless you literally only bought the springs and struts.

Yeah I just bought springs and shocks, haven't received them yet. Some of the stock parts are reused but I wanted to order those so I can assemble ahead of time.

It sounds like you just need the upper shock mounts to complete the front assemblies.

Yea, you'll need to get the top strut mounts - kyb makes them and they're pretty cheap.

I wouldn't bother assembling them beforehand, I think it's actually way easier (and safer) to use the weight of the vehicle to compress the coil and get everything bolted up.

Spring compressor method if not done properly can be dangerous. I’ve used the no spring compressor method as mentioned before, see this video: YouTube . Make sure you torque everything per specs.
When/if you return the truck, you can then remove all assembly and return the truck to original state.

Thank you for the info guys, the no spring compressor method looks much easier. I think I will go that route.

The rears shouldn't be too different from all the Jeeps I've lifted in the past.
