Lift kits

I am new to the forum and have been looking at lift kits for when I get a Toyota 4runner here in the next few weeks. Hopefully early January. I have come across this lift kit from rough country. It is a 3 inch lift which is what i was looking for at a cheap price. Can anyone tell me more about it? I don't really know much about lift kits and what I will need. Here is the link. All information is greatly appreciated!

3in Suspension Lift Kit for 10-19 Toyota 4-Runner 2wd/4wd [76630] | Rough Country (R)

Okay, I’ll bite. Why not? Spacers are a popular option for those who don’t travel off road or don’t do difficult stuff. What’s your real-world experience? Help the OP out.

Suspensions parts that are made to be inexpensive are just that; cheap. Arguably one of the most important parts of a vehicle means you want to invest wisely. Do your research and spend extra on something known for quality. RC has a reputation for being garbage for a reason.

My apologies for stealing your thread Timc03. But i didnt want to open another thread on lift kits with yours being so recent.

Ive recently replaced my front bumper with the TJM T17 bumper and have noticed a lot more bounce up front. No problem i can just get some stronger shock absorbers. But why stop there? Might as well get that lift ive been considering.

I read the Lift Information Thread posted by steezemcqueen, which is very well written, and after figuring out coilovers are the way to go for me i believe the ToyTec Boss Coilover Lift Kit is what i am going to buy. But i want to get some opinions on it. See if anyone has this exact lift kit installed maybe. Pros/Cons of a lift kit. Just helpful stuff for someone who is new to after market parts.

The kit has the followings parts included (for $1375):
TTFCS-9604-600-R - Toytec Boss Coilovers - 600lb Red
RM83010 / TAC-DR - Front Differential Drop Kit
Toytec Superflex Rear Coils
Toytec Rear BOSS Shocks
Toytec Signature Series 3" Bump Stop Kit
Toytec Spanner Set for Boss 2.0 TTFSC-9604 shocks

Some info: 2002 4Runner SR5 3.4 v8. Everything stock. I do not plan on getting a winch to go with the T17 bumper. I live at the top of a mountain so logging roads, shitty paved roads filled with potholes and sharp turns and highways are a daily thing for me. I also do tend to go faster than most other people.

Also adding 1 inch wheel spacers to go with this lift. Would that help anything like stability or just cause problems?

Thank you for anyone willing to respond!

Spacers depending on rims will cause more rub.

And me personally I would stay away from ToyTec but some have it with no problems.
Toytec.. and My Pretty Much Catastrophic Shock Failure x2

Catastrophic ToyTec BOSS coilover failure

Hmm. Well is there a lift kit that everyone can kind of agree on that's worth it? I know most people will have a different opinion but there has to be a universally liked/trusted kit. I'd assume.

16inch rims.

Most say if you go with any decent brand your won't be disappointed.

I would go more along the lines of Icon, King, Dobinsons

If its cheap its cheap for a reason I believe.
