How do I make my Baja lights fogs street legal?

Do I just need to change the bulbs? It's something simple, right?

I'm no expert, but I would venture to guess that you're oversimplifying the process to make them street legal. Its probably more about the SAE/DOT certifications on the specific assembly parts. You may be able to change the bulb to make it act like a street legal unit, but without the SAE/DOT certified assemblies its not likely to be considered legal should you encounter a LEO looking for those certifications.

Unless it was designed and certified as a street legal assembly (like the Squadron SAE), you can't make it street legal.

Most all aftermarket lighting like this is not street legal and for off-road use only. Very few lights have made it into the category of street legal, and generally cost a good deal more because of the SAE cert.

PIAA RF series and the BD Squadron SAE are the two I am most familiar with.
