Front winch bumper

I'm looking to get a simple front winch bumper on my 19 4R and i really liked the C4 low pro but it appears there are many that make them like that.

Recently found Victory 4x4 makes them in steel or aluminum as well as powder coats them. I am leaning towards aluminum so i don't have to beef up the front suspension but i may need to do it anyway since i want a winch.

Soo....

Should i go with steel or aluminum? I'm not looking to run through trees, its mostly for light off road protection, a place for a winch and i really like the look.

Also what manufacturers do you recommend?

I've been researching the same.
Besides the two you mentioned, I'm leaning towards Sourhern Style Offroad.
For me the draw towards SSO is being able to expand if needed (stage 2).
I'm thinking to start with the center winch mount. Should I get rambunctious (or careless) and damage the remaining plastic, I can add the "sides" rather than buying and cutting another OEM cover or selling the winch mount and buying a full bumper.

Southern Style Offroad looks nice too. But the front bull bar is too high for my application. It would block my Lidar jammer heads so my only choices may be C4 or Victory since there bar is lower profile, unless i move my jammer heads.

The Victory 4x4 looks like a nice one. My buddy is looking for a bumper as well and I'll see if he likes that. We'll be working on it right after we finished installing the brake kit and ironman tires on the current Wrangler project. Which bumper and winch did you end up with?

Still compiling a list of options and saving for it. I'm leaning towards the C4 because the push bar is lower but i would have to get it powder coated.

The Victory 4x4 would be perfect if the push bar was a little lower.

Then i have to select a winch that will fit. Not sure if a cable or Synthetic cable is better. I like that the Synthetic is lighter so a may be able to get away with out having to upgrade the front suspension.

Finally should be able to do this. Revisiting I come back to Victory 4x4 again since they have the option of aluminum, low tube work and it comes powder coated.

Now to decide aluminum vs steel....

Aluminum 40lb

Steel 80lb

1 year later and you still haven't done it? I thought for sure you were gonna update us with some nice photos..

Regarding the high push bar, have you contacted them and tried requesting them to lower it? I mean I don't think it'll be too hard for them to do it.

I know. I did so many other things that I would use more often first. lol

I should probably call both manufacturers confirming.

No I hear you. I've been meaning to get skids for years and just this past weekend I finally installed some.

FWIW...

Rago Fab now has a 5th Gen OEM bumper hitch hideaway. Saves some money, hides away cleanly. Only cutting is to mount a fairlead. Looks like a nice money saving option.

What have guys done for suspension upgrades (vs. stock) to handle the weight of the bumper/winch? I am starting down the road with a 22' TRD Pro and figuring out what I would need to add a SSO Style Bumper/Winch as well. Sounds like suspension upgrades are suggested. Any thoughts?

I decided to wait on the bumper for when I upgrade the shocks. The aluminum bumpers would likely be fine but I think I want steel. I will likely do the Bilsteins since i have KDSS and am not looking to raze it up much. I don't think ill need to upgrade the springs.

LFD Offroad

Take a look at the LFD Off-road bumper too. I’m torn between that and C4. I will take a look at the Victory Off-road offering.

The LFD is a "hidden" type which is cool but i also want the short bull/push bar.

I did like the C4 bull/push bar as well. No aluminum option though.
