I tried to install mne.
they left out a 1/8'' hose...
cons:
-intake pipe is pvc-ish.
-need additional washers to securely bolt the base of the box housing down
-need additional hose
I haven't given up all hope yet...
I have hte hose and going to attempt to install this again.

Mole, volant is closed for the rest of the day. I will contact my REP from volant on monday and have the missing parts mailed out to you if you still need them. Be sure to email me and let me know.
The pipe is lightweight/high-strength polyethylene. Unlike other companies, that use metal (all metal does is conduct more heat and that defeats the purpose of "cold air")

Just installed...
A bit disappointed.
The filter housing is loose when using the stock bolts. It rocks front to back. I'm going to go buy some rubber washers to put under and/or inside the box.
The back breather hose(1/8") fitting is too small. It's way loose.
btw mole177, I don't think Volant was suppose to include the 1/8" hose. I think the stock hose goes in there.
The problem I had was that the Vinyl trim/sponge that seals the air duct to the housing was short! It was about 5" too short. It come in a u groove strip with spongy material on the other side. I'll have to call Volant on Monday and tell them to send me a longer trim.
What concerns me the most is that the mass flow sensor does not seat flush with the gasket/seal that the kit includes. The screw holes on the gasket and the MFS did not match. Even if the holes matched, it wouldn

update.
fortunatley my buddy who i went to lunch with had some spare vaccum lines laying around.
however the hose needs to be secured by a zip tie. (the fitting on the pipe is way too small.
problem 1 solved.
I did use the given 3/4 or 1'' rubber hose they gave, but had to trim about 2.5'' off and use the stock clamps.
BEWARE when you guys install the pipe to the intake manifold to be sure to push in and far up as possible. When i finished installing the second time, everything was nice and neat, but time came to start the car scared the bejesus out of me. the pipe was blocking the fan blades.
Thank you Jason Burtman, your service is 1st class.
afterthoughts:
as with
ddd269 said:
the vynl stripping was also too short.
As to how in the world you were able to fit the small vac line (breather tube) in on the rear I HAVE NO IDEA HOW YOU DID IT... the stock hose was way too short.
I did not have any trouble fitting in the MAF sensor. I did however need to cut the ground wire it is paired with to in order to connect the MAF plug.
Not sure how you situated your MAF, but mine is sitting how it is on the stock unit. (plugged in from the front.)
{forgot to add the 1st drive experience with this on. didn't get a chance to go full throttle, but going uphill you can hear the intake work slightly. so there's going to be added engine noise under heavier accel. not that I don't like that.}
Should i reset the battery?? let the computer update things?

Well I concure with all you guys have said. They need to put a little more time into the kit.
But I have a worse problem, my truck will not run with the kit installed. Everything is connected. The only thing I may have done differently is I removed the stock gasket on the MAF in order to seat it with the new (provided) gasket. Im stumped, Jason was nice enough to answer his phone, but he is as confused as I.
So, I turn to my amigos for any advice or pointers.

If anyone needs to reach me about this,
its 818 687 7748.
it might be because the MAF has to sit the way it was in the stocker box.
either that or the rear air breather tube around the fuel rail.

Got it running, make sure the hole in the MAF is faced towards the filter.
Thanks to Mole for posting his number and Jason for always making himself availble for his customers!

Just took the first test drive. I am impressed, the sound with my magnaflow exhaust is just mean!! Now to see if it helps the Gas Mileage.
Not to likely to show any improvement soon, as I think my foot just got heavier!!
