Jason,
whats the status on the intake kit? Is it out yet? I looked at some of the online retailers that Volant lists on the site and it looks like none of them actually sell the intake. I have a call into Volant as we speak, and im waiting to hear back from them on such issues.

very cool...
I just got off the phone with Dan over there at Volant and hes claming some good numbers from it. Im guessing that you will be in the same price range 300-350 range as most of the other 4.7L kits for the Tundra/Sequoia.
For those of you wanting numbers, They are claiming approx 16hp and 14-16lbs of torque with a 1-1 1/2 mpg increase.

No....Volant uses some other manufacturer of filter. I would think that they would use a large conical filter as well to maximize surface area for decreased differential pressures.
you can check their site and they list the filters on there..They seem to have other premium filters that are listed (Primo) but they only seem to be for diesel applications
What I wonder is if they use a dry or wet filter.

I'm going to do these at a great deal to get the word out with no group buy needed. This intake a great quality and do what they say.
Link:
4th gen volant intake - V8 only
After ordering, about 2 weeks before it will ship, these are being built to order, and isn't going to be a mass produced item yet, this is a good thing.
This is an idea of what it will look like, this is from a Nissan Titan, but will give you an idea.

I too want one of these. How soon before it ships? How much is it going to cost? I just bought some HID's from you and I have a feeling that this is the beginning of a very expensive relationship...lol

has any one else noticed volant's web site is kinda weak?
im just on the fence here and am TORN between a K&N or volant
when i visit k&n's site there is alot of info on their products as well as their filters etc, as well as Dyno's
however on volants there is well.......not a whole lot....and nothing on filters...(only on their diesel)
thoughts?
schwalmy
ps....has any one had a volant in the past? on other cars/trucks?

Jason,
Do you think that trueflow will develop a CAI for the V8 4R? I've been so impressed with the filter I bought from you and was hoping to wait for them to come out with an intake to continue using their filters.
I'm assuming that only a volant cotton filter will work on this, true?
