I'm looking to replace my stock tires and I think I've narrowed it down to the Falken Wildpeak AT3 and the LT Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015 in stock size. I knocked the KO2s out because of snow/wet concerns and the Toyo AT3s are more expensive than the two finalists. Cooper AT3s are in third place.

Any pros and cons of either to help sway my decision? Also, what load/rating do you recommend?

I live in Colorado and spend the summer on the 4x4 roads to hiking trails and the winter on I-70. Everything is stock and I likely won't make any major upgrades/mods anytime soon ($$).

@LittleHorn81

The yokos will probably perform the best for I-70 winter conditions out of all of those. I'm in SLC so similar types of conditions as you, but still wanted a functional winter tire as I'm not to the point where I want to do a dedicated snow tire. I went with Wildpeak AT3Ws, but in the C load 275. Only limited testing so far, but compared to my buddies in 265 P, his definitely have a little better performance in the winter/wet based on the silica. I really wanted C load as I've had puncture/durability problems with my last set of tires that were a P rating.

You may want to read this article if you are in search of an off-road tire. BFG T/A KO2 is my favorite, I find it versatile as it can handle any road and weather conditions. I use the customer support button on shops like 4wheelonline to find out which set is suitable for my car.

Falken AT3W.

Great on storming rain, snow, and offroading.

Hello everyone,

I was on BF Goodrich’s website and was surprised to see that they don’t recommend the K02 for my stock 21 venture even though it is available in my size. Seems that many here use and endorse the k02, but maybe they have mod’ed their vehicles, mine is stock. Any ideas why they don’t recommend it? Thanks in advance.

Lightbulb Cooper P rated

IMO if you're not wheeling it in heavy stuff no need for an Lt tire more weight ! The Cooper At3ms tire so far for my needs is a perfect blend of city & off road use , mostly service dirt roads or barely maintained not to much rock crawling so find the tire that fits your current needs is most important in my view !

My guess is because it's an LT and not a P metric.
By the way I'm on my second set of KO2s. Stock size, stock vehicle.

Hi KarrotJuice, thanks, that's what I was looking for. What year is yours?

Thanks again.

I believe it is because, in stock size load C, the KO2 has a lower load rating than the OEM P Metric.
