I would prefer it to be the amp and not the wiring harness, which might be more costly to fix from a time/labor standpoint.
You can use a volt meter to measure power at the connector and you can test continuity to ground with a meter as well. Use the resistance setting and mark the value.
Amp looks easy to swap... what do those run for?
