After looking at the Toyota wiring diagram and searching this forum, there was no mentioning of a mute wire on non- JBL stereo system (6 speaker, single disk).
If you have a JBL with 10 speakers, you have to find the red and white wire (R1) pin7 from your stereo. But there is no mute wire for non-JBL or Scion t-1803 (That's what I have right now) on back of the stereo. When I searched Scion forum, there was a guy who found the mute connector. I tried it and it worked. Every time someone calls me or calls out, it mutes. I love this function!
On attached picture, C4 is the mute connector.

There is a description of how to do it. I hope this helps.
**Did anybody figure out how to connect directly to car speakers? Is it the blue and yellow wires? If it is, which one is the + wire? OR should I just cut the external speaker wires and connect directly to the driverside speaker wires (pink and violet wires)?
