I also have the DuraTracs in 255/75, and they are a great choice. A bit noisy, small mileage hit, but really good in snow and dirt.

I decided on GY Duratracs in 255/75/17 mounted on OEM SR5 wheels for winter driving. Picked them up @ my mounter/balancer yesterday & the "Road Force" numbers were pretty good. (7, 9, 20, & 23) I will be putting them on the 4R at the beginning of November. (the stock Bridgestones will be completely wore out by then) I also have 4 BFG KO2's (265/70/17) 6 ply, mounted on TRD OR wheels which I ran last winter just in case that I don't like the Duratracs. I have a feeling that the "pizza cutters" will work better in snowy conditions tho.

Update on the 255/75/17's.

For winter driving I went with Goodyear Duratracs mounted on OEM SR5 wheels hoping that my MPG would not drop. (OEM 265/70/17 Bridgestones are 39 lbs & 255/75/17 Duratracs are 40 lbs) Since the SR5 wheels are lighter by 2 lbs compared the the TRD OR wheels I figured it was a wash.

We have lots of rolling hills in southwestern PA & I lost a hair over 1 MPG, which is because the ring/pinion ratio is no longer 3.73. On the interstate & toll roads my transmission downshifts on hills now, where it used to hold high gear. If I lived in a flat state like Florida, I don't think this MPG would be reduced, but possibly increase by a little bit. So my next set of tires (for spring, summer & fall will be back to the OEM size. (265/70/17)

On the plus side, the Duratracs have worked well for what little snow we have had so far.
