I am planning on changing suspension soon (struts/coils/shocks) front and rear on my 2011 4Runner with 128k miles (stock XREAS no lift at the moment)
Curious and undecided on lift, if any. I decided to use the OEM bottle jack and look at my undercarriage at different heights. All tires (265/65/18) are the same brand/model/and equal wear and all tires were at 32.5psi. 4Runner was not carrying any weight inside or out. Completely stock.
From what I see, it looks like 1-1.5" is the safest lift height. Stock (no lift) strangely looks like negative angle and doesn't look as safe on the CV axle as a 1" or 1.5" lift.
Stock (no lift) (Negative angle? Sag?)
1.5" front lift (Near perfect level axle)
1.8" front lift (Positive CV axle angle starting to look noticeable)
2.5" front lift (Very noticeable positive CV axle angle)
