I've been searching for jdm parts importers and I can tell that having parts numbers is going to make things easier. Can anyone translate japanese?

I just turned mine on driving to work and I think there is a whole lot more to this than just the switch.
For one, it's lighted; and two, it's connected to an instrument panel light that comes on and indicates the rear fogs are on like the headlights or highbeams.

I just want the switch for aftermarket lights so that I have a factory looking switch for them.
I'd love to have those rear fogs but I'm sure it wouldn't be worth the time or money to me.
Woodbert any chance you can find a part number for that switch? Also do you know any web addresses for japanese toyota dealers? TIA.

Well if I can get a part number, I will call down to a Tokyo Toyota dealer and order as many as we need.
My plans are to be there April 17.
So lets figure this out..
I need the part number tho... Someones gotta hook it up, since a dealer would probably not have it in stock.

Not that it's a huge deal but don't forget that the OEM switches on the 03/04 though technically male connectors are, from the standpoint of the plastic to plastic mating, female. This means that the pins of the switch are inset from the outer plastic surround. You'll either have to buy the matching OEM female connector and wire it up or you'll need to rig something up to make your connections. Individual pin connectors would work but aren't the safest for automotive use due to vibration.
Feel free to shoot me if I'm just being a worry wart.

other than light switches
has anyone been able to find the trash bag?
I remember reading this in another post, but can't find it.
Would help to keep the ride in order, with kids in the back.
thanx

Maybe another country that carries the Hilux would have these accessories and be easier to import from, say like Australia. I have to leave work now so I will try to search for this stuff tomorrow.

I do not think they have a 4Runner (Hilux) in Australia anymore, I was there (same trip as Japan) and all they had was a Landcrusier Prado, (which looks like a GX)

Oh my god, I want, I want...
Considering that there are so many new 4R's on the road, that's some toys I really want to make mine stand out a bit.

Is it possible that I could have seen one of the Landcrusier Prado's in Tuscaloosa? I saw a silver SUV that looked like
a GX but had a toyota symbol on the front. I think it
looked just like that Landcrusier Prado.
