Talking General Grabber AT2 on a T4R

I got the General Grabber AT2 from Tire Rack. It's 265/70-17. Total cost including install, balance, and alignment is less than $850.

Definitely looks awesome. No rubbing.

It always fascinate us on how it would look like as a background. I actually took one picture with a huge cross beside the 4runner but even I find it creepy

Looks damn nice with the tires . Funny on my Revos I just had my white letters flopped in to black wall out. Keep us posted on how they work out. Any lifting plans ?

Show us the pic. with the cross.

Cemetery's are interesting places. (mostly really old ones) where you see headstones from the 1800's.

nice substitute for the BFG TA KO, they look almost identical to the old TA. I've had a set of those and they performed and wore well.

I was thinking of getting those this again but coudln't pass up a great deal on some TA KOs. I paid $550 for (5) installed.

Yes they are. I just looked at a pair at a tire shop today (again) and you can opt to use whichever side that you want to use.

So have you noticed a huge difference in gas mileage with the change to these?

I am interested in these tires as well. How loud are these things really?

And do I understand it correctly that these are studable?

On the old tire, I was getting 20mpg. After I got the new tires I reset the trip computer and after about 400 miles with mixed city/highway driving, now I'm getting 18mpg .

It's hard to describe how loud but you can definitely hear it even with the windows up. I just turn the ipod on

I'm don't know if it is studable. I thought it's only on winter tires.

Thanks.

I ask about the studs because.....well......I forgot to ask the tire dealer. It's tough getting old I tell you.

Basically it was because of the round holes I noticed near the sidewalls. Looked like they were able to have studs placed in them. Not a big deal as I would likely not do this, but it was just a little question I had.

The noise is a bit of a concern for me. I love to just drive the truck with the sunroof open and rear window down. Even on the highway it is incredibly quiet so the tire noise might grate on me. Of course I could just turn up the radio like you do. :awais:

Thank you for the reply. I am just having so much trouble making my decision. Can't see spending over a $150 for a tire right now.
