Is it worth rebuilding rear Icon 2.0 shocks...

I have had the Icon 2.0 rear shocks on the 4runner since 2013 and they have performed well...they are NOW needing replaced or rebuilt as there is an audible clunk from the DS rear and it feels like the suspension is soft now...regardless, they need to be addressed....my question, is it worth just rebuilding them and re-valving them to some extent or to just buy new (most likely another brand for cost's sake)? What would you all do? I am upgrading the brakes soon too but that's another subject...we have gotten about 60k out of the suspension on the rear...last year I had the front Icon reservoirs rebuilt and are better than when they were new...I'm hoping for something similar in experience for the rears...but need to find the justification for the Icon setup...

Also, I'd like to update/upgrade my rear bump stops...what is recommended on these? Sumo Springs, Durotecs? Does anyone have any correct part numbers they've used and have been happy with? I don't use this truck for towing often if at all but do have added weight with armor, compartments, and dogs...what do you suggest?

What's the cost to rebuild? Sounds like you partially answered your question with your front rebuild experience. Unless you think a different shock would be better in the rear and cost effective then ...

The rebuild kits are $26 each but the labor and nitrogen adds up...brand new they can be sourced through Metaltech for about $160 each...I feel a "simple" rebuild and re-valve with boast the best results...I also just bought some Timbren bump stops to aide in any off-centered loading that seems to occur more often than not...I have a call into my shop (Overland Cruisers) for a quote on their re-valving and rebuild as I know they can do it all...should know more by next week when everyone returns to work...
