TPMS question

So I have a new to me 2012 SR5. I didnt care for the stock wheels so I found a set of TRD's the same size as mine. The new set came off a 2020 4r venture. Tires and TPMS sensors were installed from the factory - stock set. I was able to get the TPMS ID's from the new tires and load them into the ECU via a Autel TS508 scanner through the ODB2 port. I have confirmed they are stored in the ECU. However the TPMS light flashes then stays on everytime. Its been about 2 days and the light still wont go off. Thought maybe it needed to learn or something.

So i thouhgt maybe it is was the 315Mhz vs 433Mhz of the sensors themselves but it appears the 2020 uses the 315Mhz which I'm pretty sure the 12' SR5 did as well.

Now I wonder if it has to do anything with the TPMS recevier?

I'm at a loss here.

I thought of that and yes - i have them. I was just worried that the 2012 ones are 10 years old. I guess if i did that work I would be best to just install new ones. The 2020 sensors should be good and they are OEM sensors. I get a C2126 code on the TS508 for DTC. Not sure why this is so hard to do.

I tried the over inflate and under inflate thing to no avail. My TS508 reads the sensors with no problems. ECU has them stored.

I think something changed in 2020. They're still listed as 315MHz on TPMS.com, but the part numbers are different.

My 2021 doesn't seem to like sensors which worked fine on my 2016.

I think your right - i removed the old sensors and installed them in the 2020 TRD rims and programed them - lights off now. The two sensors were different style sensors too - mounted the same but the sensor was different.

Im happy that damn light is off now.
