Larger sized tires and Toyota Tire monitoring system

For anyone using a 265/70R17 on a 4runner with the tire pressure monitoring system, when you upgraded from the stock 265 65R 17's did you have any problems with the Tire pressure monitoring system not registering the correct pressures due to the larger tire size?

Thanks

I upsized mine to 265/70R17 with no problems. You will however be driving 2 miles an hour faster on the speedo.

I have had the warning light on since i upsied, but in all honesty i dont think it has ever really worked well.

does anyone know if there is a sensor on the spare that could be causing the warning? (could be silly, but i have checked everything else)

Yes there is a sensor on the Spare. I have had my spare set it off.

Thanks,

On the Speedo, 2 mph faster, which means, if the speedo shows 70 mph, I will be doing 68?

Thanks

http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

I have been using this site for years to figure out tire sizes and how much the speedo is off.

Briz is correct.
