3" lift installation without removing swaybar

I am planning to install 3" lift on my 5th gen 4runner. The car is 2010 model that came from East coast. Undercarriage was completely redone and and skid plate bolts tapped to bigger size. I have a strong feeling that these bolts will brake off if I attempt to remove them, and I will be stuck with another problem that I really don't want to deal with.

Is there a way to install the struts without detaching sway bar from the frame?

This guy does it on his KDSS 5th gen 4runner. I wounder if it will work on non-KDSS model.
