A few years ago I did a taco tunes package install for my 2017 4r.
I did the tacotunes 5 channel amp and the taco tunes recurve
ReCurve EZQ - Add amps to your stock Toyota Tundra Stereo (Head unit)
Apparently I got a shit ass install job as the mountings were terrible, cables not secured to the battery etc. but the main problems is I had two issues:
- engine whine in the right speaker
- a static/white noise sound that I hear when the car turns on. Only when full start - doesn’t do it when key is turned 3/4 way
While the engine whine is likely a poor grounding issue, I’m a bit more concerned about how the new audio shop I’m taking it to next week is going to handle the second issue.
My question is - what’s an alternative for the taco tunes recurve? I’ve seen the audio control lc2i/lc6i/lc7i be used in other setups. I’m the event that it’s a hardware issue and not a wiring issue - what could I replace the recurve with?
Finally tackling this 3 year headache and not looking to spend $1000 while doing it
Thanks
Edit: it makes the noise on 3/4 key turn but not as loins when fully cranking
