It's taller and narrower than 265/70/17...255/75/17 is a 32" tire.

No there are no spacers on them, just a cornfed 2/1 and the tires.

I am having doubts about the purchase now, but oh well, money is already spent, I might have some rubbing issues too.
just have to wait and see

Do you have a link to the seller on ebay?
I was thinking about getting some of these as well.

The more I look at that tire size the more I like then. The taller sidewall looks great and makes it look meaty.

Tires are still doing ok, did another alignment (free at NTB for 6 months after you get the first one with them... I just tell them its not right and they look at it and fix it)... that was after the rotationI did.
Anyway got over 3000 miles on them and they are doing fine.
I think I do have a problem, I love to hear that roar going down the road so I roll the windows down, but with the windows up in the 4runner you do not hear the roar too much.
going to do an oil change this weekend.
Cheers.

Looks good man. Get those shoes muddy soon. If you don't mind me asking, how much was the 2/1 lift - installed and everything? Thanks. Damn good looking 'runner.

Mud T/A's ROCK. Getting stuck was never an issue on any vehicle I had them on. If it starts to get close just give it some gas and throw the mud out.
Rotate rotate rotate. If you get lazy or forget and don't rotate they'll get chopped and become very noisy and bumpy. If you rotate at least every 6000 miles they'll gradually get louder as the tread wears down evenly. As the tread wears down there's less void room for the noise to get out and they get louder. Nothing you can do about it except turn the stereo up. 40 or 50,000 miles get another set.

Does anyone know if the tires would work without the 2/1 cornfed lift? And if so, how much rubbing would there be? I have a chance to buy a set at a really good price and was thinking about putting them on.

I am going to say no. The rubbing would be an issue. (you could shave away some of the plastic) When I had the tires put on originally it was a very close fit, the guy at the tire store said these are not going to fit. I told him just put them on and I
would judge the fit. They did fit, but only by less than 1/2 inch on the front side of the wheel well. But they only rub in reverse when I cut the wheels, but it is avoidable.
hope that helps.

Thanks, the kit was 300, I think, I installed it myself. Spent a good afternoon doing it with some friends.
Thanks again
