navigation update

I just received my gen 2/3 7.1 updated navigation disk, but b4 I install it I was wondering if I'll be able to use the overide function on it w/o changing any files. I'm hoping someone will respond b4 I install it. Thanks

I answered my own question, and if anybody is interested, you are able to get into the override screen after an update.

I thought the navigation update does away with the override function? Are you saying that the latest version of the update does not get rid of the override? Which version did you have prior to the 7.1 version?

I have v4.1 in my navigation system, which is basically a 2005 Toyota Camry unit. How can I tell the generation of my navigation unit?
