07' Ski & Snowboard Rack

I've got a 2007 4runner and i'm looking to get a ski rack for this winter. I need to be able to fit 1 snowboard and 3 pairs of skis. Anyone have any recommendations? Looking to install it myself.

I use Barrecrafters rack to carry 1 board and 2 pairs of skis.

Thought about getting the box for the versatility and added "junk schlepping" capacity, but decided in the favor of the rack since it's a lot easier to mount and dismount. I do not keep the racks on the entire season, but only install them for the weekends - only takes 10 minutes.

Both boxes and racks will reduce your mpg. And since T4R is a daily driver, I keep on putting the rack on and off.

Thule and Yakima seem to be more expensive brands than Barrecrafters.

Check the eBay listings, you may get a great deal there on any brand.

Good luck.

I have a Yakima FatCat6 and it holds 4 boards.

Goes right on your factory cross beams.

I'll second the FatCat6, solid well built, not too much wind noise.

Big plus, matched the Sport Trim very well.

Thanks All

I think I am going to go with the FatCat6. Somebody decided to hit my car today so I will deal with that first, but hopefully be able to get those on in the next couple weeks. I'll try to get picture up to show how they look.

Sorry to hear about being hit. I vote for the Yakima as well.
