Not sure where you read there were 2 antenna cables but there is only one. However, the blue wire from the vehicle harness goes into the "antenna booster power control terminal" on my Pioneer deck, which like @jrhess3 stated, it's for the power to the antenna.

So, years after the original post, there is still no harness for the Urban Runner?

I plan on installing an Android unit:
Joying® Aftermarket Best Head Unit, Car Stereo, Android Car Radio Audio Joying 2015 Best Wholesale In Dash Head Unit Quad Core 1024*600 Android 4.4.4 kitkat Car Stereo GPS Double 2 Din 7 inch Radio Audio navigation system 16GB memory Airplay OBD2 Wif

It says it supports steering wheel controls... Do I need an adapter or no?

EDIT: I don't think it needs one. It can learn the controls by itself. 6:00 in this video:

I read in a number of posts on the limited and sports there were two antennas, but You are correct that mine only has the single. However, The reception is still in need of improvement. I've checked and the radio amp is working. I'm in the country so that may be the problem. Thanks for the replies

Did you ever install this? If so, I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts!

2008 urban runner tom tom

Hello i recently bought my 2008 4runner urban runner with the tom Tom navigation. I tried a few harness kits but obviously they dont work. I believe it has a factory amp. Im trying to instal an aftermarket deck. But cant get a kit. Do i cut the kit attached already and what about the stock amp. I have the stock harness kit, gps antenna and another plug which i believe is for the amp. Not jbl. Its a tom tom. Anything helps. Thank you.

Hey there. Take a look at my post (post number 35) on page 3 of this thread... That may help. I was really confused when I first started. You want to keep the harness from the stock system. Cut the plugs off and use wire connectors to attach them to the wires of your new stereo, using the table reference in Post 35. It may be slightly different if you bought a different stereo than me but at least the purpose of each wire is listed. Let me know if you need help! I'm in England this week so may be slow to respond.

@Cpay916 its not the same as the normal factory plug, there are no harnesses you can get for it. just have to cut the wires and re-connect them. it should not have a factory amp, its just an odd HU connected to speakers normally. only the JBL system has a factory amp.

here is my thread of the install with other links within the original post if you need more info

Thank you for the information. So that round plug is just coming straight from speakers. Not an amp? So just color code and then speakers are from that round plug? Appreciate any help. Ive installed many audio systems and this has me confused. Lol.

its been several years since ive looked back there but correct, the plug coming in is just speakers/power so on so on, no amp. I chopped it off and hard wired to the wires on the HU
the colors are off though if I remember correctly so be careful. I recall they don't follow the normal convention. look through the links and find the wire colors/diagram before you start. my link also has the wire diagram to keep the steering wheel controls working and light up.

Did you ever find out where the green wire that goes to the parking brake switch is actually attached?

Where did you atttach the green parking brake wire. I have 2008 Urban Runner. have finished install of Pioneer 8200nex but cannot figure out the green wire. Pioneer says unit will not fully function without attaching it.
