URD Doug Thorley Y-Pipe Installed (Pictures)

Hello everyone. Here are some pictures of the URD Doug Thorley Y-Pipe installed with a Magnaflow muffler welded in. I have the Doug Thorley headers sitting in my garage but I am contemplating whether or not I am going to install them. Anyways, the Y-Pipe is the Tacoma 4WD pipe which fits perfectly on the 4Runner. The only difference is the hanger is on the opposite side which was a quick and easy fix. Additionally, the y-pipe is actually 6 inches longed that the stock set-up so you have to shorten the pipe that goes between the connection and the muffler. Again a simple quick fix.

Looks very nice. I wish some one would make headers and y pipes for the V8 4runners. Looks like my only option is making my own

Looks great!!! I'm thinking of putting this on my 08 V8 4runner which is basically the exact same. Now you say you ordered the one for the 4x4 tacoma, from your pictures I think you have the FJ version? You also call it the URD Thorley, it should just be the URD. Let me know what part number you ordered and I will let you know if it works on my V8...

Any difference in power, sound or mpg? I always wondered why toyota put that stupid crimped y pipe on there.

I wish I had have known a little more before putting my exhaust on, I would have just got a dual in dual out muffler. Oh welll....

If you dont end up using the headers pm me, I might be interested if the price is right.

URD Tacoma 4x4 on a 4gen 08 4Runner V8

I have to say it was quite the job but after 4 cuts the URD Y pipe for the 4X4 Tacoma fits a V8 4th gen 4Runner. If you have some welding experience it's not that bad 3 hours...

Nice job, looks great! Are the flanges the same or did you cut off and reuse the originals? Any pictures of the rear connection?

Nice work!

Curious if you noticed much of a difference in sound or performance from your perspective...
